Sub: About My Winter Holidays Letter
My dear friend,
I received your letter a few days ago. From your letter, I came to know that you are anxious for my long silence and wanted to know about it. I am very sorry that I could not write to you in time as I was busy from my home during the winter holidays.
Our examination was over and the school was closed for fifteen days during winter vacation. So like other years, this year also we planned a long trip to Manali. Manali is a town in the state of Himachal Pradesh. We chose Manali as the place of our visit for its cool climate and ice-capped mountains. It is a famous hill station and one of the most beautiful tourist places in India.
I went to Manali by train with my parents and my sister. We stayed there in a hotel for a week. On our first day, we went to Manu temple, Hadimba temple, and Gauri Shankar temple. The next day we went to Rohtang pass and there we enjoyed horse riding and ropeway. On the last day, we went to Solang Valley, where we saw the fantastic view of the mountains covered with snow.
We did a lot of shopping for all from the local market of Manali. We have purchased many shawls, woolens, jackets, etc.
The natural beauty of Manali is very charming. I have captured various natural scenes of Manali with my nice camera. In fact, we enjoyed the tour very much. The sweet memories of the charming scenery of Manali still remain with me. I shall describe my experience more vividly when we meet next time.
