My dear friend,
I am so glad to receive your letter last week. In your letter, you wanted to know about me and my family. Here it is.
I have a sweet joint family. They are ten members of my family. They are my grandparents, parents, uncle, aunt, elder sister, two cousins, and me. I am the youngest in my family, hence everyone loves me very much.
The name of my family is Mukherjee Family. The head of the family is my grandfather – Tapan Mukherjee. My grandmother is the most loving member of our family. Every day she tells me an adventure story at night. My father works in a government department as an engineer. My uncle is a businessman. My mother and aunt are housewives. They cook food for us and keep the house clean. They work hard and maintain the family happy. My elder sister is Tina who is 16 years old. She reads in class xi in the same school where I read. We also have a special member in our family – our pet dog, Tommy. It is two years old and is very fond of us.
They are a strong bond between each member of my family. We share our thoughts and feelings with each other. We celebrate all festivals like Durga Puja, Saraswati Puja, Holi, Diwali, Ganesh Puja, and Rakhi with great joy. My family goes for a picnic twice in the winter season every year. In fact, we enjoy the year with our family.
My family teaches us moral values and inspires us to believe in hard work. I love my family very much. It is like a Paradise to me. I pray to God earnestly to keep my family safe from all evils and protect my family from misfortune.
