The birth ceremony of world-famous poet Rabindranath Tagore was observed with great pomp and grandeur in St. Paul High School yesterday, the 9th of May. On this occasion, the school building was beautifully decorated with flowers and garlands. All the students, teaching staff, and other respective invitees attend the program. Shri Arvind Ghosh, a former teacher of this school was the chief guest and the headmaster presided over the function.
The proceedings began with an opening Rabindra Sangeet Aguner Parashmoni sung by the students of this school. Then The portrait of the great poet was gardened by the chief guest. He delivered a short speech on the importance of the day and the life of the famous poet. Then the cultural program was held by the students of the school. The function contained dance, songs, plays, dramas, etc. The recitations and the speeches that followed added to the beauty of the program. The greatest attraction was the presentation of the drama of Abak Jalpan by the students of class 9 of the school. The programmme ended with the speech of the headmaster. He hit thanked everyone for making the function a great success.

The Annual Cultural Program Celebrations in Nishiganj High School

The annual cultural day is a very special day for the students and teachers. The students wait for this day throughout the year. Like other years, this year also annual cultural day celebrated in a grand manner yesterday.
The school celebrated its annual cultural program – Nabin Baran Utsab on 10th August in the school auditorium. Nabin Baran Utsab is a function to welcome newcomers in the school. For this celebration, the school was adorned with leaves and nice flowers. A big stage was erected in the auditorium. The famous singer Indrani Sen Rani was the chief guest and the headmistress presided over the function.
The program started by handing over a new pen and a novel book to the 9th and 11th class students of the school. This was followed by music, songs, dance, recitations, and lectures. The members of our cultural committee stages a drama which was highly enjoyed by all. I sang two songs and also took an active part in different programs. The event was made attractive when the famous singer Indrani Sen graced us with songs on the stage. The headmaster made a short but nice speech. The function ended with the distribution of sweets among the students. Overall the function was a huge success.
