My dear friend,
I have received your letter yesterday. I am very glad that you are well. I am also fine. In your letter, you have wanted to know how I spent my puja holidays. So I am writing this letter to tell you about that.
This year, I celebrated my Durga Puja holidays with my family and local friends in my own town. Our school was closed for 30 days on account of the Durga Puja. This year Durga Puja started on 15th October and ended on 18th October. These four days passed so happily that I could not understand how time passed.
On the day of ‘Saptami‘, I had visited every Puja pandal across my town with my parents. The next two days ‘Ashtami’ and ‘Nabami’ I had visited Puja pandals in some of the villages around my town. Finally, on the day of ‘Dashami’ when we saw the idols of Goddess Durga being immersed in different ghats, our minds were filled with sadness. Then I went to my maternal uncle’s house in Kolkata for a few days. There we celebrated Diwali, the festival of lights, by bursting crackers and decorating the house with colourful lights. After returning home, I began to read my school subjects. Because the final examination will be held in the first week of December. I wish next year you will come to my house and take a taste of this enjoyment.
