How are you doing? I am doing fine and I hope you are also sailing the same boat. I have some good news to share with you. So I am writing this letter to tell you about the celebration of the annual sports day in our school.
The annual sports day of our school came off yesterday. It was celebrated in our school playground. we decorated the school grounds and surroundings beautifully with colourful papers, flowers, and balloons. As the chief guest, the District Magistrate was invited. A burst of loud cheering welcomed him as he took his seat.
Our program started at 10:00 a.m. The chief guest hoisted the national flag with the national anthem and declared the sports meet open by freeing the beautiful pigeon in the sky. There were many events like 100m race, 200m race, high jump, long jump, cycling, sack-race, sprint, shot put, javelin throw, etc. Many boys and girls have taken part in different events and I participated in three separate events: the 200 m race, the high jump, and the shotput. You will be very glad to know that I won two prizes – the first prize for the high jump and the second for the 100 metres race. The sports ended with the tug of war. This game is very funny but it ended in a draw.
After the end of the function, the District Magistrate who presided over the programme gave away the prizes among the winners.
