Write an Informal Letter to Your Friend Describing the Last Annual Prize Giving Ceremony of Your school.
Sub: Prize-Giving Ceremony Letter
My dear friend,
I received your letter yesterday. I am very glad to know that you and your family are well. In your letter, you wanted to know about the prize distribution function of our school. So I am writing this letter to tell you about it.
They are many functions held in our school. But the prize-giving ceremony of our school is very special to me. The prize-giving ceremony of our school was held on 20th December at the school auditorium. Mr. Jishnu Banerjee, the cultural secretary of our school took care that the function was a grand success. The entrance of the school building as well as the entire auditorium was lavishly decorated with colourful papers, flags, flowers, and festoons. The Block Development Officer agreed to adorn the chief guest. The parents of the students and many distinguished persons of the locality were invited.
The function was fixed to start at 12:00 p.m. By 11:30 a.m. the invited guests began to come in. The chief guest of the function arrived in time. A burst of loud cheering bus welcomed him as he took his seat.
The proceeding began with the singing of national song. Then the cultural secretary read out the annual report of our school. The chief guest delivered an inspirational speech befitting to the occasion. Then the students of different classes performed recitations, songs, and drama on the stage. After that came the interesting part, the prize distribution. The cultural secretary announced the names of the prize-winners students. The chief guest gave away the prizes and shook him by the hands. You will be very happy to know that I have got two prizes, one for the academic section and the other for co-curricular activity. After the distribution of prizes, the headmaster made a concluding speech. Then the function came to an end. I enjoyed the whole programme.
Convey my best regards to your parents. I shall be highly pleased if you give me a vivid description of yours.
