Sub: Nazrul Jayanti Celebration in School

My dear friend,

I am very happy to let you know that our school celebrated ‘Nazrul Jayanti‘ this year with utmost care and love. Today I am writing this letter to share with you a short description of it.

You know that kazi Nazrul Islam is a revolutionary poet in our country. The school building was gorgeously decorated on the occasion of Nazrul’s birthday celebration. We celebrated the day in a befitting manner on May, 26.

We had a brief programme at the school auditorium around 10 a.m. All the students and teachers were present in the auditorium. The function began with the chanting of some memorable lines quoted from famous poetry of kazi Nazrul Islam by our Math teacher Kajol sir, the anchor of the function. After that our headmistress burnt in incense sticks and offered flowers in front of Nazrul’s photo. She also garlanded the picture. Other assistant teachers garlanded the picture to pay respect in a befitting way.

Then a beautiful ‘Nazrul Geeti’ was sung by a group of boys and girls in chorus. This was followed by the recitation of Nazrul’s poems. I recited the famous poem ‘Bidrohi’ and won the applause all. A large number of guardians and eminent persons of the locality gathered to see the function. Our headmistress spoke the literacy achievement of kazi Nazrul and his revolutionary spirit along with his sense of patriotism. The programme ended with a beautiful Nazrul song sung by one of our students, the best singer of our school. We were all impressed at the solemnity of the function.

No more today. More when we shall meet.

With love to you,
