My dear friend,
I hope you and your family are in keeping good health. I could not write to you as I was very busy on the occasion of the Teachers’ Day Celebration at our school. So, today I am writing this letter to share with you how we celebrated Teachers’ Day at my new school.
You know that every year on the 5th of September, Teachers’ Day is celebrated across the country on the occasion of Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan’s birthday. He was the second president of India and also an eminent teacher.
Every year we observe this day to pay respect to our teachers who are the backbone of the nation. This year also we were very busy throughout the day at our school. The school building was beautifully decorated for this purpose. As the teachers entered the classes we wished them Happy Teachers’ day. Then the students gave various gift and beautiful cards to the teachers.
In the afternoon a cultural function was held in the big hall of our school building. I was the anchor for the whole function and I initiated the show by thanking our principal madam and all other teachers. The nominated students performed on the stage to show our love and affection to our teachers. Our principal madam gave a heartwarming speech about her attachment to the school and its students. We gave pens, flowers, and cake all our school teachers. We also arranged lunch for all the teachers. The teachers were very happy.
It was a successful Teachers day celebration at my school this year and this day will always remain a memorable day for me. Please tell me in your next letter how your school celebrated teachers’ day this year. I will eagerly waiting for your lovely letter.
