Sub: Visit to a Place of Historical Interest Letter

My dear friend,

During the last winter vacation, I had the chance to visit Murshidabad, a place of much historical interest and I can hardly resist the temptation of writing you an account of it.

I along with my parents made hurried preparations and got on a train in Howrah Station at night and reached our destination Murshidabad, the next day in the morning.

The chief attraction of this historical place, Murshidabad is the ”Hazarduari” – a palace of one thousand doors. Our hearts leaped up in joy when we saw this palatial building. We walked along long corridors full of memories. On the walls hung costly paintings of the historical importance of making us see the past vividly.

Next, we visited the Nawab’s Armoury. It was a great experience for me. There we saw the swords and shields of Nawab Sirajudullah. Then we visited the historical place Khosbag where Siraj-ud-daula was buried. At last, I visited the mosque of Katra. Here I saw the grave of Murshid Kuli Khan, the founder of Murshidabad.

In fact, everything we saw and touched in this historical place left an indelible impression on our minds. If ever I get a chance, I will again go to this historical place. No more today. More when we shall meet.

With love to you and regards to your parents,

Yours lovingly,

Your name
