My dear friend,
I hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits. I am writing the letter to describe you the vibrant celebration of Rabindra Jayanti that took place at our school recently.
Rabindra Jayanti was celebrated in our school with great pump and colour. To celebrate the function, the Central auditorium was beautifully decorated with flowers. Mr. Bhattacharya of the locality was the chief guest and the principal presided over the function.
The day commenced with lamp lighting by our chief guest. Then the principle and the chief guest garlanded the portrait of the great poet Rabindranath Tagore. The songs, recitations and dramas of Tagore’s work were performed of the students of our school. I recited Rabindra Tagore’s poem on stage and I was very happy to get applause from everyone. The main highlight of the program was the presentation of the Rudrachanda, a drama by the senior students of the school. The chief guest delivered a speech on the vast literary contribution of Tagore. The program ended with a vote of thanks of our principal sir. We enjoyed the program very much.
