The birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore was observed in ABC Public School on 9th May this year with great pomp and Splendor. The event was organised by the cultural committee of the school, aimed to honor Tagore’s literary and artistic contribution. The Central auditorium was richley decorated with flowers and colourful banners. Many distinguished persons of the locality were present in this program. the B.D.O. of the area A. K. Pal graced the special guest and the principal of the school presided over the function.
The special guest inaugurated the function at about 10:00 p.m. by garlanding the portrait of the eminent poet Rabindranath Tagore. A cultural function like dance, drama, recitation was presented by the students.
One of the highlights of the function was the presentation of Abak Jalpan – a beautiful drama by the students of class 10. The principle delivered his speech on the different aspects of Rabindra literature. The function ended with the speech of A. K. Pal, the special guest of the program. The entire program created much enthusiasm among the students, parents, and teachers.
