My dear friend,
Yesterday I received your sweet letter. In your letter, you have wanted to know about the last day of my school. Here is my reply.
They are many incidents in our life that we cannot forget them. My last day at school is one such incident for me. Tuesday, 30 December, was the last day of my school. On that day our results of the Higher Secondary Test Examination were declared and given preparatory holidays for the final examination.
The students of class 11 arranged a farewell party in honor of the outgoing students of class 12. On the occasion, the school building was lavishly decorated with flowers and balloons. A big stage was erected for the cultural program. Chairs were provided for every student and teacher. The students of class 11 were welcomed with a flower. Some students of class 11 performed on various songs. Then the headmaster and the other assistant teachers in their speeches created in us an air of nostalgia. They bade us goodbye. I was already in a melancholy mode for having to leave my school where I was admitted to class 6.
After the function, we went to the school garden for taking some group photographs of ten to twelve students in our class. There was a nice arrangement of fried rice, chili chicken, and sweets by the students of class 11. I bid farewell to my beloved school and went home.
The whole incident moved me so much that I will never be able to forget it. I will remember the day till the last day of my life.
