Sub: A Letter about My First Day at School
My dear friend,
I got your letter a few days ago and became glad to know that you are all well. You have asked me to write you about my experience of the first day of my school. Now I am telling you about that.
There are many incidents in our life that we can never forget. My first day at school is one of the incidents for me. I was then just 5 years old. One day my mother told me that I was going to start school the next day. I was then very excited.
On the first day, my mother woke me in the early morning. Then I put on my school uniform after breakfast. My elder sister was also admitted to the same school. As it was my first day, my father took me to a primary school with my elder sister. The distance from my home to the school was not too far. It took about 15 minutes to reach the school by foot. When I reached the main gate of the school, then I saw many kids. They were talking, laughing, played, and having fun.
We went to the principal room and I was admitted to class 1. Then I went to my classroom with my sister. I was very nervous when I was entering the classroom. I felt a bit nervous to see all the new faces. Soon a madam entered the class all and greeted us all. Then she introduced herself and told us to do the same. She told us that she was our class teacher and would be teaching us Mathematics. She also told some advantageous stories for enjoy us. At last, she said about the syllabus from the textbook and the historical events of our school. As it was the first day, there were not much studies. The school ended at 1 p.m. and I came back home at 1:15 p.m. Thus ended my first day at school.
I was very happy. My first day at school was a completely new experience for me. I will remember the day till the last day of my life.
