My dear friend,
I hope you are well by the grace of God. I am also fine. After my final examination, I went to my maternal uncle’s house in Kolkata. I returned home from there yesterday. I went to visit the Indian Museum on chowringhee Road, Kolkata with my maternal uncle. Now I shall tell you about my visit to the beautiful museum.
A museum is a place where we can see our old relics. We bought tickets and entered the museum hall. At first, we visited the Archaeological galleries. We saw the stone images of the Hindu and Muslim rulers. We also saw swords, shields, daggers, and other weapons of war. I was overwhelmed when I saw the headless statue of Kanishka and the palm-leaf manuscript of the Ramayana.
We saw the skeletons of animals of pre-historic times like various reptiles, strange birds, and animals in the zoological galleries. We also saw the Egyptian mummy in a glass box.
I was very happy to see all these ancient things. The visit to the museum was both a joy and an education for me.
